About The Inland Sea

< Back to Services

As a professional moving company we care about and handle your personal possessions as we would our own.

Your belongings are delivered in the same condition as when you put them into our care, and our skilled personnel and quality equipment ensure the high standard of service our customers experience and compliment us on.

We are proud to have one of the lowest claim rates in the moving industry.

As with all things in life, regardless of all training, precautions and care, sometimes damage might occur.

For your peace of mind we offer transit protection.

Released Value Protection:

This type of coverage is offered at no additional charge, and it covers your belongings to a maximum value of USD 0.60 per pound, per article.

If the carton or article was packed by The Inland Sea and an item should break, the maximum protection is based on that carton’s weight.
We also have the option of repairing or replacing a broken item to your satisfaction.

If a total loss should occur (e.g. by fire) your cargo is protected at USD 0.60 for each pound of the total actual weight.

Please also check with your insurance agent for additional options.

Full-Value Coverage:

Under this protection plan, if any article is lost, destroyed or damaged while under the carrier’s authority, it will either 1) repair the article to the extent necessary to restore it to the same condition as when it was received by the carrier, or pay you for the cost of such repairs; or 2) replace the article with an article of like kind and quality, or pay you for the cost of such a replacement. An additional charge applies for this option. The carrier will determine the appropriate settlement method to be used.
